I think this is a good bit of kit for someone wanting to try one of these devices. I bought a Philips device many, many years ago for more than double the cost of this and, while that device is still good with better overall results, this one is more than serviceable. It even has some things that are better - including it being a stick type model rather than a gun shape. The fact it has an "always on" setting that flashes for as long as you're working with it and don't always need to activate it with a button press. The stand and steriliser combo - very useful (if it works - but who knows if it does; I don't have anything to test its effectiveness).

The Tulip IPL tool comes very smartly packaged and feels high quality and robust. The device is simple to use and I especially like the auto flash feature, which means you don't have to keep pressing a button to activate the laser each time. The device is comfortable to hold and pretty lightweight, as it's cordless it's easy to manoeuvre too. I can't say I really noticed any air-cooling technology on my skin as such but the device didn't heat up when in use so that was a plus.
